With over 4,000 animals representing more than 330 species (not including
invertebrates), the Dallas Zoo is home to creatures from around the world,
including tigers, gorillas, chimpanzees, monkeys, elephants, giraffe, lion,
cheetah, rhinos, Nile crocodiles, Aldabra and Galápagos tortoises, African
penguins, eagles, cranes, snakes, insects, and much, much more. It’s the only zoo in North America to feature elephants and giraffes in the same habitat, and the only zoo in Texas with koalas. Guests will
enjoy interactive and exciting exhibits, which illustrate the animals’
natural habitats. Families with younger children will enjoy the Lacerte
Family Children’s Zoo, complete with wading stream and Travis and Zach’s
Birds Landing, and the Endangered Species Carousel. All ages will enjoy the
Monorail Safari. |
